The TradeWinds Institute is a school-year long program for 10th - 12th graders or ages 15-18 that Consists of Two Phases. Each phase consists of four modules each having a duration of eight weeks.
Phase One:
Is our entry level to the program. It is our basic level which includes four modules-
Carpentry, Painting, Plumbing, and Automotive.
Phase Two:
Is our secondary level in the program. It is usually populated by students from Phase One
or students that have had prior experience. The shops at this level may vary. The previous shops include: Electrical, Home Improvements, Landscaping, Masonry & Culinary.
We are always open to new shops on this level.
Each shop is taught by Christian professionals in their field who volunteer their time.
Times & Location:
TradeWinds meets every Wednesday from 9 - 11:30 AM.
The basic location is located on Seaboard Road in Virginia Beach, however, our advanced classes have been known to be off-site in the Virginia Beach/Chesapeake area.
Ministry Opportunity:
We are always looking for skilled men and women who have a vibrant relationship with Christ that would be willing to invest in the lives of young people one morning a week for eight weeks.
Scholarships:
Partial scholarships are offered to the students of instructors. The students receive four months free tuition in exchange for the parent teaching an eight week module.
